Cryolipolysis is for patients at or near their ideal body weight (within 30-40pounds) who want to reduce fat in one or more areas.....

This procedure is FDA-cleared for the treatment of visible fat bulges in the submental (under the chin) and submandibular (under the jawline) areas, thigh, abdomen and flank, along with bra fat, back fat, underneath the buttocks (also known as banana roll) and upper arm. If you have a small amount of stubborn fat one round can be effective. If you have slightly more fat on your body you may need multiple treatments. Usually clients reach their ideal results after two sessions. If two or more sessions are needed, a minimum one month in between sessions is required.

This procedure is not for everyone. You should not have if you suffer from cryoglobulinemia, cold agglutinin disease, or paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria, have a pacemaker, diabetic, any acute disease (such as liver/heart disease, cancer etc), autoimmune disease or on blood thinners. As well you need to wait 5 months post pregnancy/nursing to receive treatment.

What to Expect...

Your provider will apply a clear gel pad to the treatment area. This creates a barrier between the cooling panel and your skin.

You’ll feel a slight sucking sensation as the applicator adheres to your body. During the procedure you may experience sensations of pulling, tugging, mild pinching, intense cold, tingling, stinging, aching, and cramping at the treatment site. These sensations subside as the area freezes, usually around the 5-8 minute mark. The procedure duration is dependent on the area being treated and the thickness of the area being treated (typically 45-60 min). After the applicator is removed, the area is vigorously massaged for 3-5 minutes which can be a bit uncomfortable, however helps the fat cells move to the lymphatic system where they can be disposed of for good! It is a very good idea to wear loose, comfortable clothing as the area treated can be tender, this may last for up to two weeks. Bruising and or numbness may be evident at the site as well and can last anywhere from 1-2 days to 2 weeks.

Typically a client will not notice any results until at least two months post treatment with the most visible results at the 4 month mark. This is for those who are patient and agree that slow and steady win the race!
